Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat - but this one is NOT going to the Christmas Market at ENKCA Winter Festival -Dylan's making sure of that!
It’s taken a while, but I’m back now.
The current excitement in the district is that our new Village Hall is due to be handed over to the community any day now! This is good news for many reasons, not the least of which is that we are planning to hold our annual Winter Festival on November 20th and we would very much like to have it in our own hall.
The festival is a day long – 10 am – 4pm - Christmas Market, live music session and all day cafĂ© with an activity area laid on for children. Admission is free of charge.
Although the hall is almost ready to be occupied, we have not finished raising the funds to pay for it. You can help us access £6,000 by voting in the Royal Bank of Scotland’s competition – vote for RBS to award us £3,000 which will make us eligible for a further £3,000 from the Scottish Rural Development Programme.
On a personal front, I am taking a stall at Northmuir Playgroup ’Shopping Evening’ on Saturday 13th Nov. in Northmuir Hall Kirriemuir and I should be at the sewing machine now, making stock for Saturday . . . cushion shaped stock.
